MANNED TRIP TO MARS

NASA plans to carry out a manned trip to Mars the 2040. Before, it NASA must will solve some problems. As the round trip will last last 2 years why would have to go human beings instead of robots?. Answer: the crew would try to form a colony there. Dangers of the trip: radiation cosmic (promote cancer), severe mental stress, boredom, depression, violent disputes, suicides, altered cycles of sleep, illnesses due to resistant germs, osteoporosis, impact of the ship with asteroids, of space suits with particles of ice, dust storms, errors when descending for ignorance of the flow of the winds or density of Martian atmosphere, spreading of human microbes in martian hydrothermal systems, noxious chromium and arsenic in Martian atmosphere. What to make in front of medical emergencies?. will they appeal to surgery robotics?. will be removed profilactically non essential body parts?. Which way will be carried out foods and fuel for the whole trip?¿how to repair hidden damages of the ship?. will be enough to carry out seeds for Mars terraforming?. will be enough a crew of 8 human beings?.

Some suggest to protect the ship with a magnetic field. Perhaps it will be necessary to carry out exploratory trips to Fobos and to have permanent bases in the Moon. The trip foresee the construction of a sky freeway, composed by 2 ships (Cyclers), orbiting permanently the Earth and Mars and some Crew Exploration Vehicle (CEV), to descend or ascend to the Cyclers from Earth or Mars. The descent would be made by means of airbreaks and parachutes. To save energy and time many think assisted gravity should be used. It will be necessary to produce liquid oxygen using water of the poles. Martian methane, H and CO2 would be enough to generate energy for CEVs. Spaceship will be propelled by ionic or small nuclear reactors of fission engines. The final objective of the mission will be the commercial use of moon, martian and asteroid natural resources.

La NASA planea realizar un viaje tripulado a Marte el 2040. Antes, deberá resolver varios problemas. Como el viaje de ida y vuelta durará 2 años ¿porque tendrían que ir humanos en vez de robots?. Respuesta: se intentaría formar una colonia allá. Peligros del viaje : radiacion cósmica inductora de cancer, estres mental severo, aburrimiento, depresión, disputas violentas, suicidios, ciclos alterados de sueño, enfermedades por gérmenes resistentes, osteoporosis, impactaciones de la nave con asteroides, de trajes espaciales con partículas de hielo, tormentas de polvo, errores al descender por desconocimiento del flujo de los vientos o densidad de la atmósfera marciana, diseminación de microbios humanos en sistemas hidrotérmicos marcianos, presencia nociva de cromo y arsénico en la atmósfera marciana.¿Que hacer frente a emergencias médicas?.¿se recurrirá a cirugia robótica?.¿Serán removidas profilácticamente partes corporales no esenciales?. Como se llevarán alimentos y fuel para todo el viaje?¿Como reparar desperfectos ocultos de la nave?.¿será suficiente llevar semillas para terraquizar Marte?.Serán suficientes 8 tripulantes?.

El descenso se haría mediante frenos aéreos y paracaídas. Para ahorrar energía y tiempo muchos piensan que debería usarse gravedad asistida. Será necesario producir oxigeno liquido empleando agua de los polos. El metano, H y CO2 marciano serian suficientes para generar energía para los CEVs. La nave espacial sería propulsada por motores iónicos o pequeños reactores nucleares de fisión. El objetivo final seria el uso comercial de los recursos naturales lunares, marcianos, incluyendo los hallados en diversos asteroides.
