Human crowds :It is the same, there and here.
Of the sackings we have an ample history in most of the South American countries. In Peru, one of the most sounded was the made one by civilians, as a result of national strike, carried out by members of the Peruvian police, during the government of General Velasco Alvarado, the same who would accelerate the fall of the Dictator, few months later. As Freud says, when sackings take place, is not necessary to look for definitions for its causes or, motivations, are enough with observing them, analyzing them and to draw conclusions. For that reason, the scenes of sackings in: Biloxi, Mobile, New Orleans and Missisipi, caught and emitted by the American CNN TV, offer fresh material to analyze the human soul and the conduct of the masses, in the same heart of the empire. If before we were ashamed by the missconducts of certain Peruvian during national sackings, the sight in the USA, although does not console to us, it explains to us that there and here, the masses are the same ones.
Because when one watch in each one of the American cities, mentioned before, the fast evacuating of meals, drinks, television sets, clothes, computers and jewels, of whatever mall, restaurant or, store, is to the front, something that act with decision, something something that is homogeneous in all the human race. In the sackings there are not distinction of race. All participate : men, women and children. That is, which in America, Europe, Africa or, South America - if it is wanted, during all the history of the humanity-the man placed as opposed to stresses that affect it of acute form, always will react in the same way.
The masses move to the influence of the instincts. Each one of the participants leaves its singularity, to adopt the common, homogenous attitudes, of the masses; those, in which genetic imprinting (the forged ones by the hunting), predominates. In the present case, motivated by the fast acquisition of elements of first necessity. One does not think about the property deprived of the other, the mass is irresponsible, it is believed superior. The individual, admits the invincible power of the number and, if there are deaths of by means, it trusts in the camouflage and anonymity that the mass will offer him.
In fact, the masses transform feeling, thinking and individual acting, by amassed and irrational other, which at the same time confers strength to them and also great fragility. If not, remember to the cult and admirable German people, obediently carried towards the war, by a snake charmer. For Freud the masses behave irrationally, because the reason is replaced by an increase of instinctive, trasmisible affectivity at great speed to all and each one of the participants. Affectivity that is increased whichever greater is the number of participants. In the actions of the masses, the pleasure is provided by Eros and the obvious cancellation of the repressions. For Freud, in the mass, an individual imitates to another one by love or, from fear.
