For Carl Djerassi of the University of Stanford the women will extend their reproductive life for one decade or but storing part of their ovary or ova extracted in their youth. According to Beverly Whipple, secretary of World Association Sexual for Health, the sexual health will be recognized as an universal right. The sexual violence, the abuse and the sexual infections will be eliminated. The advances in particles, astronomy and astrophysics will give light regarding the life in the universe about what was before the big bang and what is it that full much of the universe (Sean Carroll, theoretical physics of Caltech). For J. Richard Gott, astrophysicist of the University of Princeton the humans will settle down human colonies in Mars, necessary against a eventual terrestrial catastrophe. In the 2056 they will be discovered complex molecular mechanisms that will avoid the aging preserving our cells. Richard Miller, professor of Pathology of the University of Michigan, sees the first generation of vigorous and productive centennials men. Daniel Pauly, manager of the Fisheries Centers at the University of British Columbia, foresees the development of a device that will allow the humans to experience the floating and inarticulate emotions of animals, causing them revulsion to eat fish, transforming them into vegetarians.

Visions to those that adheres the inventor and futurologist Ray Kurzweil, for whom the future humans will be at least partly computers (Cyber-men). The 2030, certain machines will equaled and exceed the human intelligence. Kurzweil, is for sure that computers will make us but intelligent in few decades. The argument of Kurzweil is that technology is evolving so quickly that in the near future human and computers will conform a bio-mechanic hybrid that will extend our capacities in an unimaginable way. "In the 2020, a computer of 1,000 dollars, will equal the power of processing of the human brain, he says. Adding that by means of engineering the "human brains will be entirely copied." By the way, the PC of the future won't have the form of a superhuman clon, but rather will be something similar to a prósthesis (not the way of artificial legs), but like an expansion of our abilities. For the 2030, we will not compete with machines : we will mix with them. Nanomachines will be inserted in our bodies through our capillary (via nanotechnology) or, to the interior of our brains expanding our intelligence.

But, can these advances be subjected to political and social control? Let us look at the current problems. "although we don't support the investigations of stem cells, nobody will deny that these will have a significant impact in the scientific progress....We don't want to use embryonic stem cells for ethical restrictions, but well for political causes.... Are not they our own cells and DNA?, of which we possess millions?". And if bad guys get the technology? You can give up these technologies, but you cannot prohibit them. Some bio-terrorists can assemble certain types of dangerous virus and throw them. For that reason Bill Joy (inexhaustible source of green energy), and Kurzweil criticized in NYTimes, the publication of the genome of the aviaries virus (of 1918), in the web. Many critics of Kurzweil are horrified about the Kurzwail's future that seems to do without humans. Kurzweil says that technology evolves in straight lines and moves in exponential rate (Law of quick return, non Law of Moore). In 1989, alone a 1/10 of the genome were mapped, the 2003 was completed totally. It take 15 years sequence the HIV. Now we sequence the SARS in 31 days and other virus in 7 days. Then we are advancing toward the singularity.

El 2030, las máquinas igualaran y excederan a la inteligencia humana. Kurzweil, está seguro que las computadoras nos harán mas inteligentes dentro de pocas decadas. Aunque la tecnología no lo pudiese ayudar a vivir eternamente, avizora que asegurará su inmortalidad bajando y almacenando el contenido de su cerebro, en una PC, antes de morir. Para el, ciertos hechos futuros son previsibles (precio, performance, capacidad). Kurzweil autor de “The Age of Intelligent Machines”, escrita en 1980, acertó muchos hechos del 90. Kurzweil que tambien es inventor (creó un dispositivo que convertia textos en sonido hablado, para ciegos), trabaja ahora la "singularidad”, una idea original de Vernor Vinge, expuesta por Kurzweil en su nuevo libro “The Singularity is Near”. El argumento de Kurzweil es que la tecnología está evolucionando tan rapidamente que en el futuro cercano, humanos y computadoras conformaran hibridos, bio-mecánicos que extenderan nuestras capacidades de modo inimaginable. "En el 2020, una computadora de 1,000 dolares, igualara el poder de procesamiento del cerebro humano," dice. Agregando que mediante ingeniería se copiaran los cerebros humanos. Por cierto, la PC del futuro no tendrá la forma de un clon superhumano sino que mas bien sera algo parecido a una prótesis (no al modo de piernas artificiales), sino como una expansión de nuestras habilidades. Para el 2030, mas que competir con las máquinas, nos mezclaremos con ellas. Máquinas insertadas en nuestros cuerpos por capilares (via nanotecnologia) o, al interior de nuestros cerebros expandiendo nuestra inteligencia .

Empero, se podrá controlar politica y socialmente estos adelantos? Miremos los problemas actuales. "Aunque no apoyemos las investigaciones de celulas madre, nadie negara que estas tendran un impacto significativo en el progreso cientifico". No usamos celulas madre embrionarias por restricciones eticas, sino mas bien por causas politicas. Acaso no son nuestras propias celulas y DNA?, de las que poseemos millones. Pero ¿y si los chicos malos consiguen la tecnologia?. Ud puede renunciar a estas tecnologías, pero no puede prohibirlas. Algunos bio-terroristas pueden ensamblar ciertos tipos de virus peligroso y lanzarlos. Cierto. Por eso Bill Joy y Kurzweil criticaron en el NYTimes, la publicación del genoma del virus aviario (de 1918), en la web. Muchos criticos de Kurzweil ven horrorizados su visión de futuro que parece prescindir de los humanos. Kurzweil dice que la tecnología evoluciona en linea recta y se mueve en sentido exponencial (Ley de retorno acelerado, no Ley de Moore) En 1989, solo un 1/10 del genoma estaba mapeado, el 2003 se completó totalmente. Tomó 15 años secuenciar el HIV.Ahora secuenciamos al SARS en 31 days y otros virus en 7 dias. Entonces estamos avanzando hacia la singularidad.
