Medical human camouflage.

As long as transplants (partial or total), of face confront problems of donors' shortage, psychological exhausting procedures and antirejection treatments (to the implant), associated to several side effects; in some places of the world like in Neubrun/Germany it begin to expand the specialty of Epithetiker-Anaplastology, dedicated to camouflage artificially people deformed by tumors (98% of cases) and others. For it the Epithetiker looks for the patient in the hospital before the operation, providing him (her) an initial perspective. After delineating the areas, the epithetiker sits down before a mirror and of group with the patient (2-3 days), they model with wax of colors the defect (noses, face pieces, mouth jaws, lids, ears, etc), until the client is satisfied. Then the manual final work comes with silicon. Epithetiker Norbert Schilling (45), sustains that perfect works recover the identity and facilitate the psicho-social reinstatement of the one affected. Schilling that attends about 140 patients a year charges 1600 euros to prepare an ear. To one of their clients that suffered of Congenital Microtia (tiny ears) he made him so perfect ears that nobody realizes the defect. This patient that come to see him every 2 years to obtain a copy (for disuse of the previous one), lock the ear/copy in a small tally implanted in his head.
