Paul Saffo’s predictions. Saffo who doesn't like of being called futurologist of silicon valley, says: I am a forecaster with alternatives. I) The more frequent discovery of exoplanets similar to Earth makes foresee that the most important event in the next century will be to discover extraterrestrial life, not germs inhabiting extreme physical areas, but contacts with other civilizations. Saffo (in Der Spiegel), bases their predictions in the development of superadvanced computers and receivers (Allen Array of Telescopes Seti Institute) that scan in minutes an area that one decade ago took 10 years, a Chinese dish of 500 m of diameter that not alone listens, but also see. Also, the spaceship NASA Kepler launched the 2009 that will investigate but of 100,000 stars.
II) That real technological revolution, will be the creation of sensors: computers that come to see and hear and the subsequent installation of physical robots in all levels of our lives and that will make us dependent of them.
III) He predicts the death of massive means of communication and their substitution for other but personalized. With growing interactivity with their users, Google tries to obtain the value of each click and being the Great Brother that all knows. For it Google is picking up as many personal data as it is possible of their users to improve the quality of their searches. Companies like Google will absorb the collective energy of many small. The companies will grow according to their expertise and participation.
IV) In relation to business the tendency will be to think slow and better and not alone to make the things well, but making them better. Each manager will manage his evils (make yourself rich) and his angels (changes to the world), in a balanced way, as long as both are necessary.
V) My Space generation that now exhibits everything in the cyberespace, will have to meditate, because it exists the risk that millions of professionals will be blackmailed with images and memoirs of their juvenile adventures. But beautiful then will be the secret.
VI) Cities, as Singapore or San Francisco-Silicon Valley, will have but weigh that states, there will be less government and but local autonomy although under conservative administration. The number of globalized citizens will increases.
VII) Good news for technological advances and also big challenges will exist, especially where biology (genetic engineering) and nano-technology are fused : ubiquitous robots, cars without human chauffeurs, miraculous cure of illnesses, better artificial members than natural ones. Altering our basic biological structure, will change the way like we see the world. Super-rich will be a different species. Using genetic tests and tailored made drugs will extend the age average of their lives. They will replace their organs preventively and to will. They will use genetic tests to know possible risks ahead of time to their health and that of their children. With alone to live 20 years but than the rest, they won and saved money 20 years but.

BRAVE FUTURE
