NEURAL EDUCATION

The recent Symposium Decade of the Mind (2010-2020. Neurobiology for a better life in the future), held in Berlin brings good news in neuroeducation. On one hand, I) Many researchers intend to eliminate known neuromyths: a) we use only 10% of our brain. Really, all brain parts are active. b) we have multiple intelligences. Really, cognitive processes do not correspond to different intelligences. c) the left brain is rational, the right is emotional. Really, each side has several functions d) drink plenty of water is important for proper brain function. Really, the important thing is the break. e) bilingual education causes confusion and delayed development. Really, bilingual education improves self-control and concentration. On the other hand II) According to Manfred Spitzer (U.de Ulm), transfers to school classes how the brain learns (as evidenced by brain imaging and psychological studies, to improve executive function (self control and focus on tasks), is very important. Executive functions areas kindle the anterior cingulate gyrus while mistakes are made during learning of literacy and numeracy.

III) Michael Posner (U. Oregon), intends that executive function work since 7 months, using parents as intelligent tools, because a former variant of the COMT gene (released during emotional relationships), decreases dopamine, improving care IV) Sabine Kubesch (U. Ulm), ensures that genotype of children will help in learning and development. V) Eamonn Noonan (Campbell Collaboration), said that it is important transfer the achievements in evidence-based medicine to school learning. VI) Learning of foreign languages improves through scenic learning (choral concerts, gestural vocabulary, etc). VII) Sabine Kubesch (U. Ulm), ensures that executive function improved after 30 minutes of aerobic exercise performed before math classes. VIII) According to Glenn Schellenberg (U.Toronto-Canadá), children improve their IQs, after receiving over 1 year, music lessons.

EDUCACION BASADA EN NEUROFISIOLOGIA

El reciente Simposio Decade of the Mind (2010-2020. Neurobiology for a better life in the future), realizado en Berlin, trae novedades en neuroeducación.
