MATURE LIVER CELLS from E. STEM CELLS

If certain projects of differentiation of embryonic stem cells are successful we will enter in few years to a lengthening of human useful span life without necessity of transplants.

I) The first project to be developed by the Edimburgh University will try to transform embryonic stem cells into mature hepatic cells in order to rehearse in them new drugs and therapies, as well as to see if these can repair damaged livers.
II) The Second project of the same university, seeks to transform embryonic stem cells into cells with potential of manufacturing bone and cartilage in order to repair damaged bones. Dr. Brendon Noble, says that damage to the cartilage for affections like osteoarthritis, is a bigger problem in UK. If we could repair them we would reduce hip substitutions. If we find a method of curing bones using embryonic stem cells we will improve the quality of these patients' life.

CELULAS HEPATICAS MADURAS de CELULAS MADRE EMBRIONARIAS.

Si ciertos proyectos de diferenciación de células madre embrionarias tienen éxito entraremos dentro de pocos años a un alargamiento de la vida útil humana sin necesidad de trasplantes.

I)El primer proyecto a ser desarrollado por la Universidad de Edimburgh tratará de convertir células madre embrionarias en células hepáticas maduras a fin de ensayar en ellas nuevas drogas y terapias, así como también entrever si estas pueden reparar higados dañados.
II) El segundo proyecto de la misma universidad, pretende convertir células madre embrionarias en células que tengan el potencial de fabricar hueso y cartílago a fin de reparar huesos dañados. El Dr. Brendon Noble, dice que el daño al cartílago por afecciones como la osteoartritis, es un problema mayor en UK. Si pudiéramos repararlos reduciríamos los reemplazos de cadera. Si encontramos un método de curar huesos empleando células madre mejorariamos la calidad de vida de estos pacientes.
