SELF SUFFICIENT MONKEY'S BRAINS

Diverse evidences come demonstrating that the human brain will become in some moment self-sufficient, condemning human body and senses in redundant and/or dispensable. Event to be materialized when the brain orders and correctly direct -with only the thought- to organic or robotic arms -at distance-. During the animal evolution, the senses built the brain, having been that, their final goal. Now the brain doesn't need them -at least in the usual way-. The self-sufficient brain, also traffics for the possibility that receptors similar to cloroplasts, capture solar energy directly, transforming it into cerebral electric impulses. The reproduction could be carried out by means of clonatión of nervous cells (that’ s to say: brains) and cerebral glia.

A step in such a sense are some kind of experiments called : brain/machine/interface that for but of 30 years diverse scientists of the world carry out. Recently 2 hungry monkeys (Macaca mulatta), with 100 small electrodes (width equal that of a hair), inserted in 100 primary cortical brain neurons in charge of controlling body movements, learned how to control a mechanical arm with alone the power of the thought (electric waves of small power), to catch food in order to self-eating. Event that could have application in injuries to human spine and other paralyzing illnesses, bypassing affected neural ways related with the movement (William Heetderks, Managing National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering). Previously some humans were able to control the cursor of a computer, using alone their cerebral waves. Andrew Schwartz, professor of Neurobiology of the University of Pittsburgh, adds that this experiment was successful due to the extraordinary cerebral cortical plasticity, allowing neuroprosthesis be implanted in the brain.
