Lo interesante es que las células progenitoras pueden ser obtenidas de médula osea, sangre periférica y cordón umbilical. Desde hace años, bioingenieros fabrican vejigas, intestinos y porciones hepáticas. Ahora que es posible construir vasos capilares solo bastará añadirlos en forma coherente a los órganos referidos.
