Slavoj Žižek (Liubliana, 1949), philosopher and Slovenian psychoanalyst, International Director of the Institute Birkbeck/University of London, known to make use of the psychoanalysis to scrutinize the international politics, is a Marxist philosopher author of LIVING IN THE END OF TIMES, in which postulates some challenging ideas: I) WHY WE HAVE TO PAY TO BILL GATES?, if like natural resources and biogenétic, the knowledge belong to the whole humanity. In this era of relativism, science is a by-product of the knowledge. Philosophers should unite to scientists to scrutinize the reality, quantum physics and others.

V) CONCERNING TO COMPLEX IDEAS, I do share concepts of Stephen Jay Gould: now, intelligence and language are by-products of something failed. Although I use daily my phonecell I became aware of its importance or failure only when it fails. We should always ask big metaphysic questions although we cannot solve them.

Slavvoj Žižek (Liubliana, 1949), filósofo y psicoanalista esloveno, Director Internacional del Instituto Birkbeck /Universidad de Londres, conocido por hacer uso del psicoanálisis para escrutar la política internacional, es un filósofo marxista autor de LIVING IN THE END OF TIMES, en el que postula algunas ideas desafiantes: I) ¿PORQUE TENEMOS QUE PAGARLE A BILL GATES?, si al igual que los recursos naturales y la biogenética, el conocimiento pertenece a toda la humanidad. Gates se convirtió en el hombre más rico de la tierra privatizando el intelecto, un conocimiento que debiese circular libremente sin perder su valor. Las compañías gastan mucho dinero en impedir la libre circulación del conocimiento (fotocopiado), que en desarrollar sus propios productos. II) ES LA REALIDAD INCOMPLETA?. Lo que vemos no puede ser equiparado con la realidad. Lo real, es un núcleo duro, traumático que no puede ser expresado con palabras. Lo real no es ninguna especie de realidad detrás de la realidad. ¿Que pasa si la realidad es incompleta, como un juego de computadora en el que el que lo que ingresa no ha sido programado por no ser necesario en el juego. En esta era de relativismo, la ciencia es un subproducto del conocimiento. Los filósofos deberíamos unirnos a los científicos para escrutar la realidad, la física cuántica y otros.

Estos serán un verdadero peligro si existe ausencia de control público. Serán un peligro si los capitalistas controlan Los bloques de la vida sin control alguno de por medio. Hay otras visiones al respecto, también. Mientras en occidente limitaciones éticas impiden el empleo de células madre embrionarias, en China, quieren hacer uso de ellas a gran escala, para mejorar la raza china. IV) ¿CUAL ES EL LUGAR DE LA CIENCIA EN UN CAPITALISMO GLOBALIZADO?. Aunque tengo una total admiración por la ciencia, esta está atada al capitalismo (ingeniería genética, consecuencias ecológicas del uso incontrolado de nuestras industrias). V) TOCANTE A IDEAS COMPLEJAS comparto conceptos de Stephen Jay Gould: la inteligencia y el lenguaje son subproductos de algo fallido. Aunque uso mi celular me doy cuenta de su importancia o falibilidad, cuando falla. Siempre debemos hacer grandes preguntas metafísicas aunque no podamos resolverlas.
