Deporte, ascenso social y aprendizaje.

Sport, social ascent and learning.

In a developing country, like Peru, most of its estates evolve - in the good sense -, to slow pace, disarticulated and unconnected in most of the cases. Despite it, professional football - national sport -, is lately undergoing constant changes, important fact, in as much certain didactic lessons, can be extracted recently from this event.
In the latest games of the premier football world wide championship, Peru (28 million inhabitants), has participated two times (it is acceded to these, through a highly selective process), obtaining in both, only to surpass the first eliminatory round. In contrast, near countries, with smaller population density like Uruguay (4 million) and recently some African countries, have obtained greater success, in smaller time. The argentinian coach of the Sporting Cristal football club, Edgardo Bauza, said at the beginning of this year, that so that Peru, accedes of continuous way to these world wide matches, needs the permanent presence at least 50, of its better players in the great leagues of world-wide football. At the moment it has:10. However in the last 15 years, has begun to develop an hidden revolution, in Peruvian football, something remote to the expectations of the Ministry of Education (the sponsor of the Peruvian sport), always with meager budget.
It is a phenomenon with several conditioners and a resultant: learning and social ascent, through the sport. The sport causal mixture includes: a- competition in crescendo, of the 4 better Peruvian teams (3 from Lima, fans and influences = 4 Peruvian million and 1, of the interior), to be located between top teams football in the world b- the anxieties of integration of adolescents of low or, middle socioeconomic status to competitive sport teams in order to leave poverty c- the increasing migration of players and professional trainers of the best Latin American teams and some of the rest of the world, to clubs of the interior of Peru (located in 23 departments, influence = 8 million of Peruvian). Each team of the professional peruvian premier football league (13 altogether, 5 of Lima, 8 in the interior), has at least 6 foreign players at the moment. Also, a little more than half of foreign coachs and players (when they are outcasts) are increasingly migrating to the teams of the interior, carrying all their sport experience. d-the effort of the parents of family to inculcate the football in its children, from early age in order to provide a future to them. f- increasing generation of football academies, directed by ex- football players of reputation. g- gradual conversion of the yellow press (chicha), in another one, of information, investigation and greater objectivity.

As a result of the previous thing and, since the last 10 years, one is taking place all over Peru: to an a-optimization in the technique of the game, the methods of training, the styles of life, the way to make businesses (sale of players, sport publicity, etc), in the application of sport physio-psychologics principles (Markarián, 1995) and gradual transfer of the great philosophy of teams, to the rear area. The professional players group themselves now around a institution that defends them. Sport speaking, it is dificult now that " a great" team , wins with facility, to another "small". It is not either indispensable, to play in a Lima'steam to become visible b- the teams of the interior, also begins to aspire to integrate themselves to the great leagues of world wide football league. To intention, team of the interior, the Cienciano of the Cusco, was adjudged in 2 years, which in more than 60, could not obtain none of the 3 great Peruvian teams: to win the Southamerican Coup Nissan, 2003 and Latinamerican (South American Recoup :2004), interclubs. Parallelly (forced by dynamics, I would say) and, in the meantime of the last 5 years it have been built and/or remodelated 10 football stadiums : 3 of professional private clubs and 7 state ones, with capacity for : 25 000 and, more, showing such a chain effect, that they have revitalized and integrated, the rest of the sport disciplines.
As a consequence, a singular learning process is being promoted : to a certain sector of Peruvian youth (potential 12 million),who watches, learns and draws conclusions in relation to which you go. they observes that the Peruvian players who play in European leagues learn languages, legal norms, expressed orally and thought better, they marry with foreigners and travel much. Others, study to become coachs of football, intuiting nonlasting uses like players. Of another side, in the football academies, the instructors are themselves forced to learn all type of techniques of sport education for children and adolescents, as well as handling of the familiar and communitarian surroundings. In case outside little, a ex--soccer player has happened in mayor of a district of Lima and an ex-voleyball female player has become a congressman, etc. it is that according to Toffler (1971:419-422), that the school is not the only place of learning, also are it the home and the community.
The Peruvian speed whereupon aspirings, to football stars learn, through strong stimuli: sometimes, contracts of more than 1 million dollars, with which are paid the until now first top ten Peruvian. Nor to speak of the pressure of the sponsors: single it is supported to the best ones. Everything is activity and constant change here, because professional football grows with the triumphs and backs down with the defeats. These last ones, serve to reframe the things: change of players and deficient coachs , by other best ones. To win it is tried and fitted with novel techniques of psychic positivism (ternero, 2005, "Yes, we can"). At cognitive level, when a good player allows - by means of his passes to another player, that turns it in a goal, it is the same as proceeds an executive of high level, because for it, he must make the best decision (with analysis and under pressure), in few seconds (Gardner, 1995:253-62). At more general level and like Toffler (1971:418-23), envision, teams that foresee adaptations to the changing future (national and international championships), will be positioned better, than the anchored ones to methodologies based on the past.
All a methodology of the learning, mediating the sport competition. If the best peruvian premier teams incorporate the smaller divisions as a continuum, to their general plan of promotions, the improvements would be quicker. And, if this recycling and continuous adaptative learning, could be applied to the peruvian business companies, to the army or, to the Peruvian public universities, another would be the address of our dear Peru. Without a doubt, the globalization help the process of learning, promoting alive intercultural interactions, accelerating and improving the quality and amount of learning. I foresee that the next 10 years will mark the opening towards successful sport harvests, specially in soccer.
