How to tame hurricanes

According to information of the New YorkTimes,http://www.nytimes.com/2005/09/06/science/06tech.html, in the next months, would begin works to reinforce the containment dikes that surround New Orleans, elevating them to the double, making an extended network or, growing their thickness. In this effort, the Americans would copy to a large extent the model of Dutch dikes (with special extense fortifications), that protect Amsterdam and Rotterdam (located below the level of the sea), since 1953.

The Dutch dikes have the particularitity to open themselves in calm times allowing the irruption of salt water to the interior of the watery ramifications of the sea, preserving stuaries and ecosystems and, to close itself totally when the level of the sea rises and gets worse. Or, maybe they follows the english model (from 1982), of construction of drawbridges, that rise up to 8-10 meters meters when the tide raises, in the Thames river. These bridges either do not interrupt the natural flow of the river, opening and closing themselves according to the circumstances. Although the maintenance and construction of these defenses are extremely expensive, are worth if they preserve human lives. This type of preventive measures, are important, however, we foresee that soon others will be adopted, but according to the génesis and operation of hurricanes.

Although here in Peru, the nature's phenomena that affect us more are the earthquakes and floods, I have a very particular idea around how to destroy hurricanes. When I was a child I used to play with my friends beating with the end of a wood the same center of small microhurricanes of air, that formed around the park in which me and my friends played. When we beated at the same center, the eddy stopped. Today, as an adult I continue thinking that to destroy the eye of the hurricane is the key of the subject. My ideas, on the matter are:

1- Generate airflows in sense in opposition to the one of the hurricane, introducing them, from above and by the center of the same one of the hurricane.

2- Introduce in the center of the hurricane (always from above), hollow reinforced plastic cylinders, with multiple holes, in such way that the current of the hurricane when introducing itself in them, follows different courses, losing the hurricane, the general sense of its revolving course.

3-Also it would be possible to direcctionate the hurricane, introducing vertical airflows, in his eye directed with force upwards, so that the course of the hurricane, will be diluted in the highest parts of the atmosphere.

4- All these actions would have to be made on the high seas, for obvious reasons.
