Archaeological Astronomy

After surpassing objections generated by evil time, finally yesterday was launched the rocket http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/4629486.stm Atlas V, from Florida –USA- carrying the probe : New Horizons, destined to explore Pluto, a discussed planet, the most external to our solar system -known by having 3 moons, a large one: Charon and 2 others (discovered in 2005), but small nameless even- and by having an average temperature of : -233 centigrades degrees. What new involves the execution of this travel?. The following:

1) The reinforcement of the law of the smaller effort. In this case the gravity of Jupiter (natural energy), will be employed to accelerate the velocity of the probe from 20 to 25 km/second.
2) Associate to this previous natural energy, others artificial energies will be employed. In this case, a small ball of radioactive plutonium, will generate additional energy, where it will be necessary.
3) It will intend to carry out initial studies of an ice creams bodies belt (some 10 000), located a little beyond of Pluto (Belt of Kuiper). With luck it will be possible to study at least 2 bodies
4) Try to ascertain why Pluto has an excentric orbit and a greater inclination on its axis (some thinks that Pluto was collided by an asteroid).
5) To carry out the first studies of astronomical archeology. Some researchers thinks that many ice bodies gestated during the start of our solar system will be find now in the Belt of Kuiper.
6) To explore the boundaries of our solar system
7) To open the start of large trips (10 years) and of large distances (5 billion km).
8) To develop maps of the surfaces of Pluto and Charon and to study the surface’s chemical composition and the atmosphere of Pluto and Charon.
