I'm reading : Goverment in the Future.Chomsky and the workers.

Coincidentally with the nearby Peruvian presidential elections, nothing more interesting than commenting the Conference (Today, book: Government in the Future. Seven Stories Press.NY,2005), of Noam Chomsky (1928-), famous linguist, political activist and Professor of the Technological Institute of Massachussets, USA.

1- Today that the candidates to the presidential elections, have exposed their points of view around a series of themes, flame the attention that do not find abounded around the labor essence of the workers. It is spoken of diverse contractual forms of exploitation of ours natural resources (mine, gas, oil, etc), with foreign companies that exploit them, however little is said of the labor human condition of the laborers. For Chomsky, the workers that obey blindly the labor instructions are not differentiated in a lot of the slaves of long ago. Because being inherent to human being: to investigate, to create and to have free will, it is obvious that he is inclined to an emerging moral culture of the life –coming from the interior of the soul -never generated by external or artificial media. -These workers (miners, simply workers, state workers with minimal wages, etc), continues Chomsky: ….. “they carry out barbaric tasks…in the meantime other are simple machines, private of the distinctive character of the human specie… that of participating of activities in conscious and free form…of having productive lives….”..."with greater reason certain labor specialists, reduced to mere appendices of machines”…”many workers have been present there by need, what obliges them to be knelt to the feet of the rich one, to beg him that permit them to enrich him”…

2- The other treated theme in this Conference, alludes to the responsibles for the production. While the activities are directed for managers of private enterprises, the slavery will continue. It another situation, the replacement of private managers by other governmental, does not change the situation. It is only the change of some leaders by other, private officials, by other of the state, in the processes of production. None of the Peruvian candidates has spoken strong and clear to this respect. Chomsky suggests that be the own workers who must choose the production managers, constituting a luck of Laborers Counsels. ….” Chomsky emphasizes an appointment of Wilhelm von Humboldt (Limit of the action of the state. Tecnos Madrid,1988([1792])….” the gardener maybe more owner of the garden that works, instead of the indifferent voluptuary that enjoys its fruits”….Opposing both to the classical liberalism and the socialism of state, Chomsky proposes the LIBERTARIAN SOCIALISM, a social form that barely exists currently. For this scientific, the democracy is a fraud when the industrial system is controlled for any form of autocratic elite: proprietary or, state bureaucracies. In the future –according to Chomsky- the ideal is to organize the industrial company not alone on truly democratic bases in the communities but also in the own labor centers. This should be a dominant intellectual question, in the next years. According to Chomsky, so much the liberal capitalism as the socialism of state, can occur in libertarian socialisms.

Coincidentemente con las cercanas elecciones presidenciales peruanas, nada más interesante que comentar la Conferencia (Hoy, libro : El gobierno del Futuro. Editorial Anagrama .S.A. 2005 [1970], Barcelona), de Noam Chomsky (1928- ), célebre lingüista, activista politico y Profesor del Instituto Tecnológico de Massachussets, USA.

1- Hoy que los candidatos a las elecciones presidenciales, han expuesto sus puntos de vista en torno a una serie de temas, llama la atención que no hallan abundado en torno a la esencia laboral de los trabajadores. Se habla de diversas formas contractuales de explotación de nuestros nuestros recursos naturales (mineria, gas, petróleo,etc), con las compañias foráneas que las explotan, empero poco se dice de la condición humana laboral de los obreros. Para Chomsky, los trabajadores que obedecen ciegamente las instrucciones laborales no se diferencian en mucho de los esclavos de antaño. Porque siendo connatural al ser humano : investigar, crear y disponer de libre albedrío, es obvio que éste propenda a una cultura moral emergente de la vida -del interior del alma -jamás generada por medios externos u artificiales- Estos trabajadores (mineros, obreros, trabajadores estatales con sueldos minimos, etc), continúa Chomsky:….. “realizan tareas bárbaras…en tanto otros son simples máquinas, privadas del carácter distintivo de la especie humana….la de participar de actividades en forma libre y consciente…de disponer de vidas productivas….”..."con mayor razón ciertos especialistas laborales, reducidos a meros apéndices de máquinas”…”muchos trabajadores están presentes alli por necesidad, lo que los obliga a arrodillarse a los piés del rico, para rogarle que les permita enriquecerlo”…

2- El otro tema tratado en esta Conferencia, alude a los encargados de la producción. Mientras las actividades sean dirigidas por gerentes de empresas privadas, la esclavitud continuará. Lo otro, el reemplazo de gerentes privados por otros gubernamentales, no cambia la situación. Es el cambio de unos jefes por otros, funcionarios privados, por otros del estado, en los procesos de producción. Ninguno de los candidatos ha hablado fuerte y claro a este respecto. Chomsky sugiere que sean los propios trabajadores quienes elijan a los jefes de producción, constituyendo una suerte de Consejos de Obreros. ….” Chomsky enfatiza una cita de Wilhelm von Humboldt (Los limites de la acción del estado. Tecnos Madrid,1988([1792])….” el jardinero tal véz sea más dueño del jardin que trabaja, que el indiferente voluptuoso que goza de sus frutos”….Oponiéndose al liberalismo clásico y al socialismo de estado, Chomsky propone el SOCIALISMO LIBERTARIO, una forma social que apenas existe en la actualidad. Para este cientifico, la democracia es un fraude cuando el sistema industrial es controlado por cualquier forma de élite autocrática : propietarios o, burocracias estatales. En el futuro –según Chomsky- lo ideal es organizar a la sociedad industrial sobre bases verdaderamente democráticas no solo en las comunidades sino en los propios centros laborales. Esta debe ser una cuestión intelectual dominante, en los próximos años. Según Chomsky, tanto el capitalismo liberal como el socialismo de estado, pueden devenir en socialismos libertarios.
