ViconRevue has developed SenseCam, a photographic camera able to register the entirety of our lives. Initially projected to help post-encephalitis and Alzheimer’s patients to help them to remember important last events, it is projected now like helping artificial memory instead of notebooks and in the cinema. SenseCam takes 30,000 images storing them in a giant memory of 1-gigabyte. Thrown massively the 2010, it will cost $820.

SenseCam, takes pictures passive and automatically every 30 seconds without user's intervention, using an accelerometer and light’ sensors to capture images when the person enters to new environments and an infrared sensor when it detects the hot body of a person near it. After the amnesiac revises the pictures quickly or one for an every 2 days during 3 weeks, they remember better last events. With help of fMRI scan, it has been observed that during the revision of pictures, frontal and cortical brain areas associated to memory, are activated.

Inicialmente proyectada para ayudar a afectos de post-encefalitis y Alzheimer para ayudarles a recordar eventos pasados importantes, se proyecta ahora como ayuda memoria artificial en lugar de cuadernos de notas y en el cine. SenseCam toma 30,000 imagenes almacenándolas en una memoria gigante de 1-gigabyte. Lanzada masivamente el 2010, costara $820.

SenseCam, toma fotos pasiva y automaticamente cada 30 segundos sin intervención del usuario, empleando un acelerometro y sensores de luz para captar imágenes cuando la persona ingresa a ambientes nuevos y un sensor infrarojo cuando detecta el cuerpo caliente de una persona cerca a ella. Despues que el amnésico revisa las fotos rápidamente o una por una cada 2 dias durante 3 semanas, los afectados recuerdan mucho mejor eventos pasados. Con la ayuda de fMRI scan, se ha observado que durante la revisión de fotos, se activan las regiones cerebrales frontal y cortical posterior asociadas a la memoria.
