ADULT STEM CELLS AND CANCER

Dividing adult stem cells would be engaged frequently in the spread of cancer, say scientists from Cancer Research UK (CRUK). Preventing the division of these cells through specific drugs it will be possible to fight cancers of blood and skin, says the expert in cancer and skin stem cells: Fiona Watt. For his part Clive Stanway, Chief Technology Officer of Cancer Research, quoting the words of John Dick argues that after therapy of most cancer always remains a small population of stem cells with infinite regenerative capacity from which cancer reappears. Fiona Watt, add that to stop these cells is necessary to bring them a brake.

CELULAS MADRE ADULTAS Y CANCER
