OPTIMISM

According to the Israeli Daniel Kahneman, Nobel Prize in Economics (psychological research into economic science), although optimistic entrepreneurs have an advantage over their peers affected by depression, over-optimism may produce great economic losses. To Kahneman optimism is influenced by the socio-cultural environment of certain countries. In France, Hungary, USA and others, optimism is mixed with other natural emotions. Who is not optimist is not well. It is not certain that training could forge optimistic because we know very little of this attitude. We know that optimism have genetic roots, optimists live longer, have better immune systems, have more friends, are healthier, see the best of things. If a optimistic has economic success this fact will strength his confidence. If an athlete feels supported by his country he will play better. It is certain that optimism was created by evolution because depression is dangerous. For most entrepreneurs, optimism is the engine of capitalism. When an optimistic fails in its objectives, he will try make fewer mistakes on  next adventure. At present major oil companies analyze past and present errors (premortem analysis), adhering to strict rules. For them, risky explorations have nothing to do with emotions.

OPTIMISMO

Según el israeli Daniel Kahneman, Premio Nobel en Economia (investigaciones psicológicas en la ciencia económica), aunque los empresarios optimistas tienen ventaja sobre sus pares afectados por depresión, los sobreoptimistas pueden tener también grandes pérdidas económicas. Para Kahneman el optimismo es influído por el medio ambiente socio-cultural de ciertos países. En Francia, Hungria, USA y otros, el optimismo está mezclado con el resto de las emociones. El que no es optimista no está bien. No es seguro que el entrenamiento forje optimistas porque se conoce muy poco de esta actitud. Se sabe que tiene raíces genéticas. Por ello, los optimistas viven más, disponen de mejores sistemas inmunes, tienen mas amigos, son mas saludables, ven lo mejor de las cosas. Si un  optimista tiene un triunfo económico ello reforzará  su confianza. Si  un deportista se siente apoyado por su país, jugará mejor. Es seguro que el optimismo es creación de la evolución porque la depresión es peligrosa. Para la mayoría de empresarios el optimismo es el motor del capitalismo. Cuando un optimista falla en sus objetivos, trata de cometer menos errores en la siguiente aventura. En la actualidad las grandes compañías petroleras analizan los errores pasados y presentes (análisis premortem), adhiriéndose a reglas estrictas. Para ellos, las riesgosas exploraciones no tienen nada que ver con las emociones.
