FLYING CAR

To Carl Dietrich (Terrafugia Transition) a graduate engineer at MIT, was enough to use a motor Rotax 912S four-cylinder, to convert his car (105 km/hora/8 gallons c/100 km) in a light aircraft (range flight: 785 km/Tank:75 lts, 185 km/hour). In 37 seconds the plane is converted into a car and vice versa. The key here are their fold/unfold wings, which allows the car to become a plane and vice versa. When the prototype will be perfected it will be a valid alternative to avoid vehicular congestion in large cities. However there is a problem to solve, yet: the hipercongestion of airstrips fields. The transformer requires 20 hours of training to fly, is built on demand and costs: $ 194 000 each one.

AUTO VOLADOR
