YOUNG GALAXIES

The identification of a young galaxy by gravitational lensing with a redshift (z :6-11), in the light spectrum (re-ionization index), in the early universal intergalactic medium, subsequent to the formation of the first galaxies (unexplored area until today, because the stars that formed early galaxies were outside the scope of the sensitivity of existing telescopes). Although these findings will help to understand the properties of these galaxies (cosmic age 490 million yeras), after the Big Bang, all suggest that early galaxy formation occurred around 200 million years after the emergence of Big Bang.

According to researchers such young galaxies would be abundant and may be the dominant source of early re-ionization of the intergalactic medium. This finding raises some thoughts: I) The possibility that these early galaxies could have supported microbial life and eventually the developing of early human-like civilizations, since the emergence of thinking civilizations need not be necesarily ascribed solely to the Earth. II) If some of these sophisticated civilizations reached strength scientific and technological advances they have had two possibilities: perish because of internal wars or natural phenomena or reach a very advanced technological breakthrough that allowed them to emigrate from endangered planets and populate other through panspermia, until today.

GALAXIAS JOVENES

THE CHALLENGE MARS

We have already a general map (with certain very detailed areas) of Mars. We know their canyons (not just the Valles Marineris), mountains, possible ancient seas, volcanoes, composition of its outer and inner surface, climate, atmosphere, the ratio of its orbit around the sun, etc.. U.S. probes (NASA's Mars Curiosity) and European lodged on Mars or orbiting around it, have allowed this knowledge, vital for the next step: colonize (terraforming). For scientists it is clear that to do it, they must overcome three obstacles: I- Containment of prevailing winds, capable at certain times to cover with dust almost all of Mars, favored by the thin Martian atmosphere dissipated thousands of years ago in the outer space (composed of:CO2 (95.3%), N (2.7%), Ar (1.6%), traces of molecular O2 (0.15%), water vapor (0.03%), ozone partes/1000 10 million), being necessary to protect the cities since the beginning with pierced walls and serials containment.

II) After this scientist must reproduce initial weather conditions that will placate waves of dust on Mars. The partial flooding of the canyons of Valles Marineris with saltwater generating life and forest repopulation will regenerate a Martian denser atmosphere contributing to placate more the force of Martian winds. III) The distance from the Sun favors a cold Mars (daytime surface temperature: - 55 0C, night : -80 0C). By this reason, the first human settlements will live in cubicles containing insulating terraqueous natures and artificial atmospheres and regulated temperatures. IV) The advantage that human will obtain of this odyssey is to built Mars planned cities of 1 million inhabitants, with vertical housing designs and functional management (rational use and recycling), of strict compliance. In other words, Mars will be modified by the human mind for the benefit of mankind.

FUTURE CHANGES IN THE COI

The birth disabled South African Oscar Pistorius, was early conditioned with two artificial legs carbon fiber. The implants were so succesful (Pistorius could walk upright), that he decided to give them an added value: running in the Olympic Games in London, 2012. Despite not qualifying for the final 400 m, Pistorius qualified for semifinals. When you look the artificial legs of Pistorius (watch picture), you will note that the design of these, is more for support than to win an Olympic final. Now than as a cyborg, Pistorius can run alongside ranked, able-bodied athletes (normal), some normal athletes, would be thinking of replacing her legs by artificial prostheses, customized, more physiological, more sophisticated than those of Sartorius. It is the natural tendency of some humans to make history. While race times for the 100 m appear to have reached the permissible limit (9 seconds) for able-bodied athletes (normal), cyborgs will do it in 6 or 7 seconds. After that, a soldier of any country, will replace part of her legs by ultraresistant materials (to protect them against explosive land mines), normal arms by metal cuffs, etc. Then the concept of able and disabled people will change.
