BLACK HOLES ARE STORES ...

A radical proposal of Stephen Hawking, regarding the event horizon of a black hole (until recently defined as a closed area of space from which not even light, could escape), attempts to emphasize known notions of space-time or perhaps : modify them. The new proposal of Hawking argues that: 1- There are no rigid horizon events...light and matter could escape from these holes. According to Hawking, quantum effects around the black hole (high energy region), would make space-time fluctuate there wildly, within very narrow limits. 2- Instead of an event horizon, there would be an apparent horizon, an area where many rays of light would have suspended, trying to escape from the core of the black hole. General relativity has allowed some physicists postulate an explanatory model in this regard: if more material is swallowed by the black hole, the event horizon will grow more than the apparent horizon. If the black hole expels radiation, the event horizon will be smaller. Matter and energy, would only temporarily maintained after the apparent horizon, being compressed like an accordion without reaching the core, just to try to escape again and again. That nothing can escape the event horizon is for Hawking incompatible with quantum theory. An apparent horizon could be dissolved when compression of matter subjected to mechanical and quantum-gravity effects, reaches certain limits. As Hawking argues that apparent horizon is the actual limit and that its eventual dissolution could permit the escape from anything contained in a black hole, some physicists argue that such proposal would mean absence of singularities and black holes. At the end, it seems that black holes are flexible matter-energy stores, to maintain normal functioning (fine tuning),of the universe.

BREAKTHROUGH : MONKEYS GENETICALLY MODIFIED

BREAKTHROUGH : MONKEYS GENETICALLY MODIFIED As we foresaw in previous articles, techno-scientific changes in the next 10 years will take fancy characters in certain cases and many of them will happen very faster. A couple of monkeys (Long tail macaques Cynomolgus), genetically modified, created via cut and paste DNA, are proof of this. The study of these twins monkeys created in Nanjing Medical University-China, is published in Cell. They are the first primates having an altered genetic pattern. The next step will be -no doubt- to create new human genomes (that will provide their holders greater physical strength, more longevity and absolute resistance to cancers and other diseases). To do this, Chinese researchers led by Jiahao Sha, used a system developed in USA in 2005: CRISPR/Cas9, an editing gene system (to mute, enhance or change specific genes), in different organisms and target precise monkey genome points to manipulate 2 genes (coinjection of mRNA and sgRNAs Cas9 in unicellular embryos, yielding a precise gene targeting in Cynomolgus monkeys fertilized eggs, before transferring it to surrogate mothers. The experiment received no critic in China because in this country there are no laws or strict ethical controls related to animal experiments. In this regard, researchers of several parts of the world argue that the method will remove defective cellular genes, replacing them with others healthy. Will allow also to recreate in monkeys : Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases and many people will become resistant to HIV preventing the virus from entering to human immune cells, after removing the CCR5 gene thereof. Since many years ago, many scientists advocate that experimental models based on cell and human tissues should be established to create better human responses, the chinese study attempts also to cultivate organoids (small acini of human organs), devoid of certain genes to study the cause of many diseases, analyze characteristics of drugs and monitor at acceptable costs the progress of serious diseases. If Crispr/Cas9 edition works in primate brain (similar to humans), experiments, formidable results will be obtained. Less optimistically, other researchers argue that animal rights will be violated and that eventually could be created an unlimited number of sick animals.
