SIRTUINS and RESVERATROL
The British gerontologist Aubrey de Gray and transhumanists has scored a major victory influencing researcher’s mind of Harvard Medical School proffesors to produce chemicals designed to prolong health and extended life span. David Sinclair and Christoph Westphal cofounders of Sitris Pharmaceuticals, manufacture drugs that mimic resveratrol, a chemicalpresent in certain wines, grapes, wine, oysters, peanuts, walnuts, endowed with antioxidant, longevity and anti-cancer cells properties. These scientists are engaged also in drug discovery that triggers genes sirtuins (silent information regulator two (Sir2) proteins), activity responsible for cellular regulation in fungi and involved in regulation of aging, apoptosis and stress resistance.
The effect of sirtuins emulates those achieved in mice that consuming 30% less calories (caloric restriction), live 40% more, avoiding degenerative diseases of aging. Sirtuins in small doses are more potent than resveratrol. Administered to mice are effective against lung cancer, colon cancer, melanoma, lymphoma, type-2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease and Alzheimer's disease. They also reduce inflammation and lack of side effects. The classical theory of aging is based on the deleterious effect of mutations in DNA. Today, it is assumed that aging can be reversed because mutations are not direct causes of aging.

SIRTUINAS y RESVERATROL
